Request for information about customs duties
Hi everyone! This is the first post I’m starting in this space dedicated to the Ebay community, so I apologize in advance if the question may seem trivial, but I have a doubt and would like a bit of clarification before going ahead with the purchases.
I would be interested in buying an item coming from Japan (it’s a simple collectible doll) at a cost of about €25 and with no shipping fees, but I wanted to know whether there might be any additional costs for customs duties to be paid when the item is delivered and roughly how much they might come to.
I’m asking for information from anyone who has already had experience, since I’ve never bought from Japan before, but I know these extra taxes exist and vary depending on the price of the item and also the weight. I just wanted to know what expenses I might possibly be facing. Thanks in advance for the clarification!

Mentore2 years agoFor these amounts, there are no customs duties.
On ebay's payment page, you will be charged VAT (22%) and perhaps the courier will ask you for fees for customs assistance; expect between 0 and 15 euros depending on the courier and the value of the goods.
If the courier asks you for the VAT again, get a receipt, so you can ask ebay for a refund of the amount paid in excess.
