Refund request: who protects me?
The user I sold my smartwatch to wants me to give him his money back. He told me it can’t be reset and that therefore he can’t link it to his phone. I should point out that I deactivated it a few days before putting it up for sale, resetting it and unlinking it from my account, just like it says in the user manual. Manual handed over together with the watch.
To meet him halfway I told him to send me the watch and then I would refund him the money. But if he sends it to me and I find out he broke it, then who protects me?

OP2 years agoSo I also have to keep the negative feedback?
I use eBay to avoid becoming a serial hoarder, so I'm not a professional seller. I think I've been signed up since this platform became available for Italy, and I've never found myself in a situation like this.
You sell something of yours that works, the buyer says it doesn't work and the seller not only loses the money but can't even get the item back!? Absurd.

Mentore2 years agoOnly the buyer will be able to change your feedback because it is formally correct.
So I advise you to come to an agreement with him, offer to withdraw it at your own expense and refund him as is only fair, and then ask him if he’d be willing to change the rating he left.
Kind regards.
