VAT request to continue selling in the UK
hello, I'm a seller on ebay.co.uk, and today they blocked my sales because I didn't enter a VAT number, a number..that I don't have, and.. honestly... I don't understand how to reactivate my online store..
after doing various searches, I see that the VAT number in the UK is only needed if you exceed £85000, or £8000, amounts that I don't even come close to....
can anyone advise me on the best way? thanks

Mentore3 years agoWith all due respect, the VAT number is nothing more than the tax ID... you're a professional seller and you don't have a tax ID?
You don't need a tax ID only if you exceed a certain turnover, but if you sell regularly and in an organized way... to add that it seems you are not even authorized to sell digitally delivered items... in addition to violating a number of eBay rules between links in listings, shipping burned DVDs, etc...
So, some honest advice is to get compliant and obtain the license for the software you sell... before eBay Italy blocks you too.
