Purchase invoice request
Good morning, today eBay is asking me for purchase invoices for items I have for sale, given that I am a non-professional seller, I sell items belonging to my collections or in any case vintage items and I don’t have the possibility of sending purchase invoices. In response to my question to eBay and the explanation that I do not have invoices, I was told that the invoices are still needed to review the case, then I didn’t even understand for which items they need the invoices.. I don’t understand, if someone can help me I would be grateful..

Ebay will be forced to report your suspicious activity to the tax authorities at the end of January 2025, which is why it is starting to ask you for these documents.
If they are items that belong to your personal collection, you will certainly have proof of purchase, especially for the coins.
If they are items that were bought specifically to resell, invoices are needed (even simple receipts if you buy from private individuals) and you need a VAT number to operate under the margin scheme.
