Request for additional payment

After I made a payment, the seller contacted me saying he had entered the wrong amount for the listing with the Buy It Now price and is asking me for an additional payment of €40 via PayPal (the method used to pay). Can he do that?

No.

So ask for the cancellation and then judge it as you see fit...
