Return and refund request for counterfeit item
Summary: sardic bought a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses at auction for 54 euros, but discovered that they are counterfeit and a different size from the one described. He tried to return the item using the reason "not appropriate," but the seller did not accept it, and eBay says it cannot intervene on his behalf. sika700 replied that the correct return reason should have been "not as described."
hello everyone...
I need some advice on what to do to get a refund.
I bought a pair of ray-ban sunglasses at auction for a total of 54 euros. once they arrived home, I saw that they’re not original and, on top of that, the description said model Ray-Ban Wayfarer RB 2140 901 50-22, whereas besides being a fake, they’re a larger model. in the auction it says RB 2140 901 56-20.
I made a mistake when I returned them, by putting the wording "not appropriate"; it seemed like the closest option to indicate an item that wasn’t right.
now the seller won’t accept the return and ebay is telling me that they can’t do anything and that if they do step in, they’ll do so in the seller’s favor. thanks

Mentore2 weeks agoThe correct choice was that the item received did not match the description in the listing.

Mentore2 weeks agoYou selected the wrong return reason, you should have indicated non-conformity.
Ebay can no longer help you.
Best regards.
