Refund

Hello seller users, I have a question:
I sold a book with standard book shipping (without tracking) and after 10 days the buyer is asking me for a refund because, I quote verbatim, ''I bought it for a friend but now he doesn't want it anymore because too much time has passed and I can't take the loss''.
I'm asking you for advice and whether you know if eBay can help me avoid refunding anything. I could understand if 45 days had passed, but after 10 and with these explanations it seems to me like I'm giving away money.
Thanks in advance

Mentore1 year agoUnfortunately, with book shipping, it’s all at your own risk and I doubt you’ll come out of it unscathed.
When he opens an official refund request through eBay, try to attach his communication anyway.

OP1 year agoThanks Mario, but it went exactly as you said: by now I’ve lost the money. The ridiculous thing is that I contacted eBay twice by phone and they told me 2 different things. The last one, contacted 10 minutes ago, told me to check with the post office if the package has arrived, even though I had explained that the package had no tracking code. Hair-pulling stuff.
