Hello, an item I had sold working was sent back to me, but then something must have happened during transit and when it arrived at the buyer’s house it no longer worked.
Leaving that aside, the item was returned to me and now I obviously have to issue the refund to the buyer. The only question I have is about the money deducted from the sale of the item through the promotion fee for it (in that case 9.8%), so out of the total €129 of the sale, I have €112 available in my eBay funds. Do I still have to pay the other €16 deducted because of the promotion, even though if the sale had gone well they would never have been credited? Because when I try to pay it always gives me an error.
I hope you can help me.

Mentore1 year agoHello,
if you refund correctly and within 30 days of the sale, all sales fees will be refunded to you later.
Obviously for now you’ll need to pay them upfront by entering a credit card.
Kind regards.

OP1 year agoThanks a lot for the quick reply, so on paper I just need to have those 16 euros and then it takes the rest from my available or pending funds, right?

Mentore1 year agoYou are a new seller, so you need to pay the full amount upfront. Then you will receive the payment credit, and after that the credit for fees and sponsorship expenses.

Mentore1 year agoNo, you have to advance everything... then the full amount will be credited to your account when the funds are available... right now they definitely aren't!
Kind regards.

OP1 year agoWell then I can't do it if I have to pay the full amount, sorry; if I have the 112 in my funds I only need to add the other 16, but if I have to cover everything myself I'm unable to within the time limit.
I have to say it's something that doesn't make sense since I never actually "had" the 112 euros, at this point I don't know what to do; if you have any advice I'd be grateful.
