Refund not received
Summary: A participantsavag-5552 raised the issue regarding a refund not received. marioelegio replied to the original message without providing further details.
*** in place of sensitive data
On February 5, 2025 I purchased the following product “Right rear bumper corner trim panel PAJERO IV 2007-2012 4 doors” with order number **** from seller ******
On February 13 I requested a return of the product and after it was accepted, on February 21 I received a notification saying that the refund had been issued with return ID code **.
In the meantime, on February 8 the POSTEPAY EVOLUTION card from which I had made the payment was blocked due to fraud and, following Post Office instructions, I requested a new replacement card, which arrived and was activated on March 6.
As of today I have never received any refund on any card.
Once the new card was activated, I contacted the seller to explain the problem and he told me that, as far as he was concerned, it had gone through successfully and that I should contact eBay or the Post Office.
The Post Office said that automatically a credit made to a blocked card is rejected.
An eBay representative I spoke to on the phone told me that in fact they also show the refund as having gone through successfully and to give the Post Office the following ARN code so they can trace the refund ***.
I went back to the Post Office and they said that with this code they cannot verify anything. They told me (again on March 6) to try waiting another 5 working days because maybe with the activation of the new card it would be credited automatically to the new one, but as of today nothing has happened yet.
In short, I ask you to help me resolve this problem and, if possible, provide me with a document confirming that the refund was actually successfully processed so that I can present it to the Post Office and investigate the matter further.
I look forward to your reply.
P.S. I recently made another refund request and I am afraid the same thing will happen. Is there no way to provide me directly with a new card to which the refund can be made?

Mentore1 year agoIt’s not possible to provide the details of a new card, because the refund always follows the same path as the payment, but in reverse. So the refund can only be made to the card from which the payment was made.
All banks are able to transfer the funds from the old card to the new one, especially since eBay gave you the code with which they can trace the transaction. The post office likes to play at being a bank, even though many of their employees are completely incapable.
Insist, ask to speak with someone who is able to trace a money transfer.
