Refund for package refused by the recipient
Summary: The discussion concerns a package refused by the recipient and the implications for the refund. morl-708 opens the topic without providing specific details, while marioelegio responds but does not add any further information. The conversation remains general regarding the refund issue.
I’m writing to ask how I should handle this situation. I’ve just signed up on Ebay as a seller and I made my first sale last week. I shipped the package right away to the address shown on the Ebay label (which I printed in duplicate and attached to the parcel).
After a few days, I was contacted by the recipient, who told me he still hadn’t received the package and to check on it. I did, and I saw that the package was in transit back to the sender. I called the post office and they told me the package had been refused. They specified that the courier had found someone and the package was refused. I informed the recipient, who first told me it was a mistake (he had always been at home), then told me that the destination address on the label is a pickup point and that it seems strange to him that no one accepted the package.
My question is this: I’m still waiting for the package and I wouldn’t want to resend it. I had sold it for 18.00 EUR + 2.50 EUR for shipping costs. I paid about 15 EUR to ship it. Given the situation, can I refuse to send it again and keep the 2.50 EUR shipping fee paid by the customer/recipient for myself? Thanks to anyone who wants to answer.

Mentore1 year agoDid you offer shipping with a pickup point?
Did you put the eCP code on the label?
Did you use registered mail?
