Reimbursement of excess shipping costs
I sold an item in GB, and the buyer, on their own initiative, paid 50 euros for shipping costs. I spent 30 to ship it. How do I refund them the difference? I don't have PayPal and maybe eBay will deduct the 20 euros from the total transaction amount when it gets paid to me, and then refund the buyer in turn?

Mentore3 years agoIf you're referring to the "Montre Certina" you yourself asked €50 for shipping... also because the buyer pays what you ask for... they certainly can't decide how much they want to pay you...
If you want, you can issue them a partial refund...

OP3 years agoThanks for the reply, but in the listing conditions the amount for expenses was 20 euros. Anyway, where can I find the procedure for the partial refund? Do you recommend waiting for the payment from eBay, or is it better to proceed with the partial refund right away? Have a nice evening.

Mentore3 years agoThe €20 were for the French... since you have a French account... but not for the United Kingdom.
To avoid complicating the transaction, it's better to refund it when you are sure of delivery... for how to do it read here:
