Refund for purchase not yet received
Summary: The thread concerns a refund for a purchase that hasn’t arrived yet. swok378 mentions the issue and sika700 replies briefly. swok378 contributes again without any new details.
Good morning, I bought a PlayStation on January 16 with shipping due to arrive between January 21 and 27, the latest deadline. After the purchase I was immediately provided with a GLS shipping code, a shipping code that never showed any shipment on the GLS website. After contacting the seller to ask for updates and possibly a refund, he told me there had been problems due to a GLS courier strike (very doubtful). I can’t cancel the order because from the very first day the package showed as shipped, so the refund is blocked.
On February 4 there was still no positive outcome, and since I couldn’t request a refund I opened a dispute with eBay.
On February 5 they told me the package had been shipped and, oddly enough, now with the same initial tracking number it shows as having departed on February 4.
My question.
Since the purchase was a gift and since 20 days after the purchase the package still hasn’t arrived, how should I behave to get a refund?
If the package arrives (if it arrives) do I have to send it back immediately upon receipt? Take the package and then arrange the return with the seller?
Given that in the return terms it says the seller reserves the right to issue a partial refund in case of issues?

Mentore1 year agoThe refund cannot be granted in advance without returning the shipped item.
When you receive it, you can return it for change of mind at your own expense only if the seller accepts returns; otherwise you’ll have to keep it.
Don’t think about refusing the parcel, because you would lose the chance to get a refund.
Kind regards.
