Refund for damaged item.
Summary: The discussion concerns sundisceddu's request for a refund due to a damaged item. sika700 might represent an opinion or a response to the initial issue, but specific details were not provided.
Good morning everyone. I recently purchased an iMac, for which I received a full refund. A refund because, despite being well packed between two boxes, it showed obvious signs of broken glass. At first, the seller seemed cooperative and understanding. Honestly, I’m not a computer technician and I wanted to solve the problem for a few bucks. I asked eBay for support, explaining the issue and receiving the refund, because the seller, for one reason or another, never addressed the problem in 5 days. One day later he resumed the conversation, raising the issue that he was not at home and asking if, as a courtesy and considering that I had received the refund, I could return it. I kindly then asked that if he provided a shipping label or paid the return costs via PayPal, I would be very happy to do so. But he never replied again. How should I behave?

OP10 months agoThank you for your reply. I half thought about it. He kept going over time. He expected that, considering I had been refunded, I would logically be the one to pay for the shipping out of my own pocket. Simply to send an item like this with tracking costs 30 euros at the post office alone, and he wants to get away with 19 euros. As if it were my fault that the item arrived damaged. I've been trying for two months to get one to use and I haven't even ever gotten to try using it.

Mentore10 months agoSend him one last message explaining that if he doesn't get in touch and arrange the return shipping at his own expense within 15 days, you'll take it to the landfill.
Kind regards.
