refund for item not received
- Good evening, I bought an item on 23/02, paid for it of course, and after my follow-up emails the seller replies that I can’t pick it up locally because she’s away and the shipment will be made by her father. OK, I say, then I see that after a couple of days on eBay it shows as shipped but there’s no tracking..... on March 2 I contact her to ask for the tracking number so I can check, the reply arrives today 04/03/23 and she apologizes for the oversight. As soon as I receive it, it’s a Posta1 and I check it and the shipment shows as delivered on 1/03/2023.........given that the delivery should be made to a tobacco shop, which I called and the managers there have received nothing, what annoys me most is that the seller only gave me the tracking today and only today I saw that the shipment was delivered to a ghost, after contacting her another 1000 times the lady is in Germany and evidently doesn’t see the emails because up to now I have had no answer to any of my questions. How do you send an item worth 60 euros + 10 euros shipping............ with a Posta1 when I had asked her to pick it up at her shop???????? Very upset by the lack of availability, I asked for a refund for an item not received, don’t tell me there is delivery because Posta1 is not a registered letter nor postal tracking like a parcel, the postman or whoever it may be can quite happily scan the code and throw it away, put it in a bag, and give the shipment away and so on with the envelope. Asking you, who have more eBay experience, how will it behave? ps I report what I read in the EBAY conditions, what does this mean? that if it says delivered eBay does not refund? and why shouldn’t it? is Posta1 registered? tracked? today I received the tracking and I was writing to the lady when on March 1 I would have received the shipment?????????
- Declaring that you have not received an item, while on the page Order details there is proof of delivery to the buyer’s address

Mentore3 years agoPosta1 is not registered mail. It is not trackable; there is only proof of delivery.
However, in the past eBay has considered proof of delivery sufficient to certify that delivery took place and ruled in favor of the seller.
I think a lot depends on what was expected for the shipment. If the 10 euros included a tracked shipment, then it is not correct to use Posta1. If instead a standard economy shipment was actually expected....
In addition to the item not received procedure, try contacting eBay customer service to point out any discrepancy between the promised and received service: https://www.ebay.it/help/account/contacting-ebay-customer-service/contatta-ebay?id=4379&st=3&pos=1&query=Contatta%20eBay&intent=contatta%20ebay&lucenceai=lucenceai&docId=HELP1326

OP3 years agoGood morning, I’m a seller too and I care that customers who pay are satisfied. My packages in Germany arrive after 3 days, in Italy they arrive the next day. In this case the seller charged 10.00 euros for a posta 1,,,,,,,,,which, according to PT conditions, is a service that should only be used for documents and not for sending items. Also, the seller hadn’t even left me the tracking since February 23 and only yesterday, at my request from March 2, I received her reply with the tracking, let’s say, and when I checked I saw that the shipment had been delivered on March 1 at 2:22 p.m. Since I have my packages delivered to a tobacco shop, both when I sell and when I buy, and for years now the service has always been perfect, the owner of the tobacconist’s, who knows me, replied that he received nothing..... I’m thinking of requesting a charge back from my bank, because I consider this procedure absolutely unfair considering that the seller is away. I don’t know whether the person who sent the envelope wrote the address correctly or not; she forgot to send that sort of tracking, but are we kidding? I don’t doubt her good faith, obviously she has always shipped with posta1 and it has worked out fine, but there is always a first time and buyers need to be protected. Just to say, since yesterday I’ve sent the seller several emails and I haven’t had a reply, but how can she sell while being in Germany? How will she be able to deal with this problem if she also wants to contact the post office????????? Yesterday I even wrote to the post office explaining the problem and attaching the photo showing that the envelope was delivered. I’ll wait another 2 days, then I’ll decide on a charge back
