Refund to Postepay without IBAN

Good morning,
I made a purchase paying via a Postepay VISA without IBAN.
Following a problem with the courier (package lost), the seller instructed Ebay to credit me back the amount paid.
Ebay told me that they were proceeding in this way, within 3-5 days.
Over the phone, Ebay support confirmed to me that this credit would not be prevented by the absence of an IBAN with the Postepay card (standard card, NOT Evolution)
While waiting for the outcome, has anyone already verified this type of transaction with standard Postepay?

I can confirm that the credit has been made to my Postepay without an IBAN.
I have no idea what method Ebay used for the top-up.
Unfortunately, what you wrote, "The refund always follows the same path as the payment, in reverse," I don't know how that could be translated in practice, meaning the name of the type of transaction used by Ebay.
The original transaction was not cancelled by me, nor could a bank transfer to a card without an IBAN have been used.
It would be interesting to know which route was followed, just for further background on the subject (on the phone, the operator did not have technical knowledge on the matter).
In short, I still confirm Ebay's ability to re-credit (or credit in general?) money onto a Postepay without an IBAN.

Mentore1 year agoThe translation is that, when refunding to a credit card, the IBAN is not needed.

Mentore1 year agoDid they tell you they managed to do it or that they weren’t able to? Even if awkwardly worded, “would not have been prevented” should mean they managed to do it.
The refund always follows the same route as the payment, in reverse. So if you paid with a prepaid Visa, the refund should go back onto that card. Ebay issues the refund within 2 working days, then it depends on your Postepay’s timing.
