Packlink reimbursement for insured amount for damaged item and return of item by buyer
Summary: The discussion concerns Packlink's reimbursement and insured coverage in the event of damaged items and their return by the buyer. No other detailed information or further developments are provided in the thread.
Hello. I would like to point out that the documentation to attach to the request to open an insurance claim for a damaged item, to be sent to packlink, is required within a shorter timeframe than that allowed by ebay for the buyer to return the product to the seller. Therefore, if the buyer is not cooperative with photos and anything else, the refund request falls through.
Ebay does not seem to offer me any alternatives to refunding the buyer, either partial or full. Unless I am missing something, ebay forces the seller to issue a refund; not only that, it also exposes them to the risk of not being able to start any insurance claim with packlink. Since it is the seller who pays, could ebay provide greater assistance ???

Mentore8 months agoEbay and Packlink are two different companies, and Packlink is just one of the many options the seller has for shipping.
In the case of a damaged item, it’s not Ebay, but the law that requires you to try to reach an agreement with the buyer or provide a full refund.
So if you want to try to take action against whoever sold you the shipping service, you have to do it according to the contract you made with them... https://support-ebay.packlink.com/hc/it/articles/115003421369-I-requisiti-imprescindibili-per-aprire-un-reclamo-per-danno-perdita-o-furto-manomissione
Besides, they almost never reimburse for a damaged item; they always claim it was improper packaging.
