Restoring free listings after an unsold item
Good morning everyone,
as a seller, it often happens that I put items up for auction through the 150 free listings I get each month. It’s been happening that some buyers, after winning the auction, decide not to pay. Unfortunately, this improper behavior is not punishable in any way (not even with negative feedback), which makes eBay’s rules completely pointless, even though they are very strict for us sellers.
That said, non-payment, besides being a waste of time, makes me lose the free listing slots, which are basically wasted through no fault of my own.
I know that eBay refunds any fees paid in the event of a cancellation due to non-sale, but it seems to me that it doesn’t do the same with free listing slots, causing me a substantial loss, since once those free ones are gone, I’ll have to list them for a fee.
Am I wrong, or is there a way to get the free promotion slots back too?

OP3 years agoThank you for your reply, but it is a loss, regardless of the seller's nature, given that a promotion is undermined by rule-breaking behavior on the buyer's part.
Mine, anyway, was a question about restoring the promotion because of this violation of the rules. Considering that this is an act against eBay rules for which I am not responsible, I believe it would be right for eBay to restore the slot used. It really seems like the least they could do.

Mentore3 years agoThere cannot be any damage for a private seller.
If, on the other hand, you believe that your professional sales activity has been harmed, you are using the wrong account; you can't enter your VAT number here.
As for the behavior of non-paying users, it is sanctioned. They receive a warning; the first one has no effect, but starting with the second they face increasing restrictions, up to expulsion.
