Response to "Lego presales"
Good morning everyone, I'm writing a new topic in response to vittorigrigol_0 since I'm not allowed to reply in the "user support" 🙂
We were talking about Lego pre-sales. The set the user bought was on pre-order more than 30 days out (release date expected for May 1st) and even worse from a "fake" private seller, so I strongly recommend asking for cancellation and reporting it to eBay.
As for the price increase, I can say that the set refers to the full collection of 18 characters, which will retail for 3.99 eur each but in blind bags, meaning that by buying 18 bags from Lego there will probably be duplicates.
That said, in general for the full collection WITHOUT duplicates (usually the characters are identified by feeling them where possible or by cutting the bag open on the back), a fair price at release (once out of production it can even double) is around 4/4.50 eur per bag, so from 72 to 81 eur for the series of 18 minifigures + any shipping costs.
Let's say that whoever currently has the item on pre-order has deliberately left a lot of room, because it is still too early even to have an idea of the box contents since there are no reviews or unboxings available yet (and this is one of the reasons why pre-sales beyond 30 days should be blocked).
In the unfortunate event that there is a difference in rarity among the various characters and, for example, it is necessary to open more than one box to put together a collection, prices would rise considerably compared to what was mentioned above.
Basically, it's always better to wait until you're a bit closer to release to avoid getting ripped off.
I hope I have been helpful in clearing things up a bit on the subject, and I thank anyone who will help make the platform a better place by reporting improper behavior that, as in this case, can create confusion among buyers.

You as the seller must clearly indicate the shipping date and therefore the delivery date... if you don’t know it, you cannot put them up for sale!
If everyone followed the rules, ebay wouldn’t need to block pre-sales like these... it all comes down to the common sense of those who create the listings... and replying from another account, I’m afraid that even the selling one isn’t in order... that is, professional with a regular VAT number.

OP3 years agoSorry, maybe you misunderstood my message, I'm not the seller and I just wanted to help the gentleman understand... I know the rules perfectly and I simply don't think it's right that the platform is full of this kind of listings
