Hello, how do I refund a buyer without losing money?
Summary: nicoma-8357 asks how to refund a buyer without losing money. marioelegio does not offer a detailed answer in their brief comment.
In the past a buyer purchased one of my products, however since I hadn't been using the eBay app for a while I noticed too late, and as if that wasn't enough I didn't even have the product anymore. I tried to contact him but nothing, so I tried fiddling around a bit and found a way to refund him. However, it tells me that for the refund I have to pay with my card and that I don't have enough funds on eBay, but I didn't receive the buyer's money on my card so I don't know what to do. What will happen if I issue the refund? Will eBay then send me the money? Thanks

Mentore1 year agoOn eBay you don't have enough funds to issue the refund because:
Depending on whether it's an order cancellation due to an informal buyer report or a response to a dispute for item not received, you have to refund it through the specific eBay procedure, advancing the money with a credit card.
Then you'll receive the payment credit and, if you do everything correctly, they'll also credit back the fees.
