Hello, I need to return an item -
I received a non-working item, I tried to contact the seller but they keep stalling, so I started the return through PayPal.... now PayPal is asking me for the return shipping tracking number for the refund, to be sent within a few days...... besides not having the address to send it to (China)... I wouldn't want to pay the shipping costs.... (also I can't get the seller to give me the address to send it to).... now if I try to do a return from eBay it says "You can't submit this request. You have already filed a dispute for this order with the institution you used to make the payment."
how could I solve this?... thanks!

Mentore3 years agoYou opened the dispute on Paypal by mistake... you should have opened it on ebay FIRST, where you would also have received the return address, but above all you wouldn’t have had to pay for it yourself!
So if the seller still doesn’t respond now, you’re in a deadlock, because you opened the dispute with ebay, not the seller!
Be careful... the communication between the two institutions is very slow, about 20/30 days, so if you plan to close the dispute on paypal to open it on ebay, the time limit for opening it will expire!
Sorry... but it would have been better to ask before doing stupid things... not after...
