If the buyer intentionally doesn’t pick up the package at the access point, how does eBay handle it?
Summary: elvis107_123 asks for information on how eBay handles cases where a buyer intentionally does not pick up a package from a pickup point. marioelegio responds, but the specific details of the responses are not provided.
If the buyer deliberately doesn’t pick up the package at the access point, how does eBay handle it?
I’ll explain better;
Purchase made, paid to eBay, shipped, delivered to the access point with proof of delivery from the country where the buyer lives, because at the first delivery attempt the buyer was not present,
if this guy still doesn’t show up on purpose after being reminded, what should I expect? And how should I act?
Thanks in advance for any kind of help

Mentore6 months agoTheoretically, eBay should consider it as if delivery had been made.
If and when the package should end up back in your hands, you should find an agreement with the buyer for a new shipment at their expense (to be advanced via PayPal) or for a partial refund (the cost of the item only, since the shipping was wasted).
I said theoretically because, if they open a dispute for item not received, the outcome is not guaranteed. A lot will depend on the agent handling the case and unfortunately here we see all kinds of things happening. So it’s always better to try to reach an agreement rather than letting it get to a dispute.

OP6 months agoFirst of all, thanks for the reply ,,,, yes, theoretically that’s what I think too ,, but how do I solve the problem if the buyer doesn’t reply to my messages ?
Theoretically I haven’t made a single mistake , I’m not at fault and I’m not to blame if he doesn’t go pick up the package at the UPS pickup point ( because he wasn’t home at the time of delivery ) , I’ve already sent 2 messages to warn him to go pick it up but nothing he doesn’t reply , and he has already paid for everything on ebay ,, I really don’t know how to deal with ebay or vice versa,, let’s hope at least to get the package back never come across such a mystery
