if the buyer does not voluntarily pick up their registered letter....
best regards to everyone, if the buyer does not voluntarily collect their registered letter from the post office where it was brought by the postman and after some time this registered letter, due to force majeure, is returned to me... do I still have to reimburse the buyer?

OP3 years agoand I’ll add ..just for info...that from Sicily I had to explain to him in Milan which specific office he needs to go to.

Mentore3 years agoSika meant that if you get your item back, you can't keep both the money and the item.
If the failed delivery to their home was due to your mistake in writing the address on the envelope, you must refund them in full.
If it was their mistake or their absence, you can offer the buyer two options:

Mentore3 years agoConsidering that once you have received the payment, you are no longer the owner of it... if it comes back to you, it’s obvious that you “should” refund the buyer.

OP3 years agoit would be obvious if the problem were related to the loss of the goods or to something tied to me as the seller, but here we're talking about ignorance... since I warned the buyer that it's been sitting at their post office for a week and all they'd have to do is go pick it up.
