hello everyone. I’d like to report 2 sellers, scammed by both of them within 2 weeks and despite the items being returned I never received a refund and they kept the item and the money, now I’ll explain how they do it. The scam works by exploiting an eBay loophole that completely protects the seller, and it happens in this order: 1. You buy the item; if it’s not as described, the user has the right to have it returned. 2. despite the rules being clear about returns, they always try to make sure you have to ship it back at your own expense, unless there are different indications before the purchase, which I always recommend reading and which at the same time are never clearly specified because the listings keep changing, you have to keep taking screenshots or else you’ll get screwed. 3. Now the scam to keep the money kicks in: the seller opens a dispute, your money gets blocked and not refunded, and the seller keeps the item and the money. Now I’m reporting 2 sellers and what happened with these 2 people. Seller No. 1: carnet ricambi who owns the website **** , all public data so I’m not violating any law. I buy a body computer for my Alfa from this guy. The description clearly says he was selling 2 products, fuse box and body computer control unit. What should be said is that it arrives in a fairly short time, but the item is incomplete, I only receive one part. I contact him the same day and he replies that if I wanted the other part I had to give him more money outside eBay. Among other things, the invoice, which I tried to enter in my tax drawer and does not appear as issued, so it’s fake, clearly shows 2 products. So I try calling him and he never answered either messages or the phone, I got angry and I didn’t beat around the bush, I’m not hiding anything, but this guy asked me for more money, cash under the table, the invoice is fake and untraceable. At this point I try to get eBay involved, they initially side with me and I return the item, which I had photographed beforehand. I remember that this dishonest guy from Turin never answered the phone, never answered emails, never any contact except 2 times, but read on because it’s heartbreaking! The crazy thing is that during the return procedure he was forced to respond to eBay and wrote that I wouldn’t have done anything with the body computer anyway, that it needed to be reprogrammed, so basically calling me incompetent out of hand and he felt authorized to keep half of the paid item. After a few days, instead of a refund I find a dispute opened for having returned the item deliberately damaged, with demonstrative photos that cannot be seen; you can’t respond to the dispute, you can only close it and your money is literally gone. I consider myself an honest person, for 26 years I’ve treated my customers with respect and honesty and I’ve never done anything like that. The guy engineered all this because he knows this downright unfair procedure to the buyer’s detriment and kept the replacement part and the money!. Magically, the guy starts replying to messages after keeping the money, eBay unjustly sided with him because I didn’t damage the item and I had no reason to, since I was even willing to return it at my own expense and keep the part I had bought and was interested in, but since it was an item sold in 2 parts I took both of them naturally, or rather that’s what I believed from the description, but nothing to do, and he disappeared without ever replying and now, feeling in the right, he showed up again. In short, 50€ down the drain. Another user I order a brake pump for my car; according to the code it’s listed in the guy’s product lineup, I pay 79€ + 10 for courier, mind you I said courier not shipping, he takes his sweet time and after 4 days sends it by post, where basically he pulled a little scam on the shipping, that is, instead of paying 10€ for courier as stated he only pays €4.90 with the post office and sends it as a standard parcel. After 10 DAYS my package arrives (instead of the 2/3 days the courier would have taken), the post office gives no explanation, I manage to track down the mailman and I had to drive dozens of km to pick up the package. That’s not all; my car is an Alfa 159 2.0 170 hp, and instead of the correct new pump he sent me a pump for an Alfa 159 1.9 150 hp, which is totally different, the cars’ weight is different and the pump was not new but had been overhauled and washed thoroughly, badly overhauled, rubber parts fitted the wrong way around, different pipes and a different pump for a different car weight, crazy stuff. In short, more than 130€ in 2 weeks spent and literally burned. I ask myself, are we users always the ones at fault? Are we always in the wrong? Where has user protection gone? that money is the fruit of my work, and I’m on foot!... Obviously I had to buy the new parts, from a certified seller, and it cost me triple thanks to these 2 super "entrepreneurs" who represent honesty and professionalism in our country. Where has the professional of the past gone, the one who sold you the item as declared, gave you support, helped you and didn’t scam you. I remind these gentlemen that the money they took was earned honestly, but they can sleep soundly anyway—whoever does anything to them!. While thanking eBay for having been "protected" I send greetings to everyone and if you intend to buy on eBay don’t trust feedback alone, many are anonymous and fake and these "entrepreneurs" keep scamming people with impunity, think about how many 50€ and 79€ they keep with this method by doing it several times a week, they treat 2 well, maybe 10, then the next 20 behave like this, and the other 10 behave well using these systematic scams and they don’t even pay the fees so they scam eBay itself too, anyway they all have positive feedback where often eBay removes them because they are sellers who pay subscriptions, you buy thinking they’re reliable because registered as a "professional seller" but that doesn’t mean honest!.
