Is VAT paid on the Listing Fee and the Commission on the final value?
Hello everyone. I am not a professional seller and it is not clear to me whether when I sell an item on eBay I will pay VAT on: Fixed Amount per Order; Final Value Fee; Listing Fee etc.. that is, on all the eBay services I pay when I sell an item.
For example, if I sell an item for €100, will I pay €0.35 (Listing Fee) + €5 (Final Value Fee) + €0.35 (Fixed Amount per Order), that is a total of €5.70 and therefore receive €94.30?
Or will I pay €5.70 + 22% VAT, that is €6.95 and therefore receive a total of €93.05?
Thanks a lot for your help.

Mentore3 years agoSika didn’t read the question carefully and so gave you an incorrect answer for a private seller.
Every month you can create up to 150 free listings, you only pay for the extra options. So there’s no 0.35 listing fee.
The variable Final Value Fee is 5% of the total sale amount up to EUR 2,000 and 2% of the portion of the total sale amount exceeding the EUR 2,000 threshold plus a fixed amount of EUR 0.35 per order.
All fees listed on this page include the applicable VAT for Italy.
So on 100 euros, you’ll only pay 5.35 and you’ll have 94.65 left

OP3 years agoThanks for the reply sika700. As far as you know, does the same apply to promotion costs? That is, if I sell for €100 with promotion, will I pay €9 for the promotion service or €9+VAT?
Thanks again.
