the only purchase I made with a credit card on ebay for the above-mentioned item, they cloned my card and fraudulently made some purchases- Oh, are you accomplices or do you need to adopt a better system.Thanks

Mentore3 years agoEbay uses the same security factors as the vast majority of other sites, and when certain amounts are exceeded it also uses multi-factor identification with a code request that is sent via SMS to the mobile number associated with the card. That’s why, without having your phone too, cloning your card is of little use. They could only steal a few dozen euros per transaction. Anyone who has the technology to clone credit cards doesn’t waste time with these games and makes transactions worth thousands of euros in just a few minutes.
So if your card had been cloned, they wouldn’t have wasted time shopping on ebay. Besides, the police would be able to trace the address to which the items would be shipped immediately.
Before filing a report, check the people around you who may have access to your data and to your PC.

Mentore3 years agoPersonally, I’ve been making purchases with credit card payments for years and nothing has ever happened!
With the security features enabled (3D Secure or Visa Secure), it’s almost impossible to clone a card... they’d also have to clone your phone and know your transaction password.
So I’d check your card and protect it for online purchases and... maybe... I’d also check your PC in case of malware or spyware.
