Shipping collectible banknotes, how can we protect ourselves?

Good morning, if I were to sell a collectible banknote with a significant value, how could I protect myself from any "fraudulent" buyers? I mean that even if I send it with tracked and insured shipping, the other side could still claim in bad faith that the envelope was empty and in that case what would happen? How do eBay and PayPal handle something like that? How can I protect myself?

Good morning,

short answer: you can’t protect yourself!

The dishonestly-minded buyer always knows how to come out on top.

Also remember that with standard shipping, sending valuables is prohibited, so you wouldn’t even be able to use insurance.
