Shipment from Israel to Italy value €350

Good morning
I would like to buy an electronic component worth about €350 including shipping of about €100 from a professional seller in Israel. It is not explicitly indicated anywhere whether VAT and customs costs should be added. For the US, the amount of VAT to be added is clearly indicated. If the cost of VAT is not indicated, does that mean I won't have to pay it? Also, do I have to pay customs duties? The seller couldn't give me an answer except to say that any eventual fees will be my responsibility. Thanks for your help

Mentore1 year agoIn the US and UK there are couriers that, even for values over 150 euros, collect duties and VAT in advance (together with their fees).
For the other non-EU countries, these services are not available on eBay, so if up to 150 euros VAT is collected by eBay, for higher amounts you’ll pay the courier the duties and VAT, plus its customs clearance fees. Consider at least 30% of the value of the item + shipping, but a lot depends on the courier.
