International shipping available upon request
Hi everyone, I’d like to buy an item from the United States, but once I put the product in the cart, I’m asked to contact the seller to get a shipping cost estimate.
I tried contacting the seller, who says that eBay should unlock the option to select international shipping. They (as stated in the item description) are available to ship internationally (including to Italy) through eBay’s international shipping program. It seems strange to me. Do you think the seller is right? Would it be useful to try contacting eBay support directly to “unlock” my ability to get international shipping?
Has anyone had similar experiences?
2 days ago I bought from another seller in the US and international shipping was directly available...

Mentore2 years agoHello,
it is the seller who must choose whether to opt into the international shipping option; ebay cannot force them.
So it is the seller who must add that option.
Kind regards.

OP2 years agoAh ok thanks. So having put in the description "We ship most items worldwide only through eBay’s Global Shipping Program" could mean that they "forgot" to make that option available...

Best regards.
