Insured shipping outside eBay

Hello everyone!
I'm in the situation where I need to ship a valuable item, and both the buyer and I agreed on insured shipping. However, I notice that eBay's integrated system only offers standard shipping options and doesn't allow you to insure the item directly through the platform.
I'm wondering: does anyone have experience arranging insured shipments outside of eBay? Is it possible to handle the entire shipment myself, without going through eBay? If so, how did you go about it? What advice could you give me to make sure everything is in order, both contractually and from a security standpoint?

Mentore2 weeks agoYou can safely manage the shipment outside eBay; the important thing is then to enter the shipping code in the sales process.
