Shipping costs for returns of goods
If a seller specifies that the return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility, are these then reimbursed by eBay?

Mentore1 year ago.... If, on the other hand, the return is for a broken, defective, or not-as-described item, the seller has to cover the return shipping costs. If you pay them, then no one will reimburse you later.

If you place an order by mistake or change your mind, by law, the return shipping costs are your responsibility.
