Customs fees

I bought a Nintendo Switch from Japan and they asked me for 100 in customs fees with FedEx. But eventually I would like to refuse or send the game back—how does it work with the customs fees and my refund?

If you voluntarily refuse the package, you will have no chance to request a refund, so you will lose both the item and the money.

If instead you want to return it, the amount paid to customs will not be refunded.

So, if you import from a non-EU country, it is you who MUST know that you will also have to pay customs.
