Import fees to pay for items from the USA

Hi, while for items from the UK I can see the amount to pay for import fees listed, for items from the USA this information is not provided. How can I find out how much I’ll have to pay for import duties, customs fees, etc... before making an offer or purchase? Thanks a lot

Whether from the UK or the USA, there are some listings that show import charges; these are sellers who use Pitney Bowes' GSP shipping service. In these cases, the import cost is calculated and paid in advance.

If you buy from sellers who use other couriers, you need to do the math.

VAT, 22% of the total (including shipping costs).
Customs duties, they depend on the product category of the item and only apply if the total exceeds 150 euros.
Courier fees for customs clearance assistance (ranging from 2 euros for low-value items with the postal service up to 20 euros).
