Import costs from Japan
Hello, I’m planning to buy a hi-fi system from Japan: how can I find out how much any import/customs taxes would be, to add to the product price? How and when are they paid?

Mentore2 years agoStart from the item's cost and add the shipping costs.
If the total exceeds 150 euros:
4-5% in customs duties.
On the total (duties included), 22% VAT.
From 5 to 20 euros for customs paperwork handled by the courier.
If the total does not exceed 150 euros, no duties are paid. The rest as above.
