Postage from Great Britain-England
Lots of items for sale from Great Britain. England has very high postage rates, can someone explain why? Is it because postage costs don’t incur income from Ebay, so they’re high in order not to pay commission to E Bay?

Mentore3 years agoNo, with the new rules eBay commissions also include shipping costs, so it makes no sense to inflate them in order to evade the fees.
As you may know, the United Kingdom is no longer part of the European Community, so all parcels coming from that country go through customs with the related customs duties, VAT and other charges.
Sellers who use the GSP (Global Shipping Program) service use a system of “forecast” import costs payable in advance.
That’s why the shipping cost shown is high... because it does not include shipping alone but all the related charges.
