6% chargeback seller punishment "below standard...
Selling on Ebay has become almost impossible. I realized (late) that Ebay charged me 3 selling defects (not my fault), which put my performance at "below standard seller". The 3 defects are due to refunds I should have made. I agreed to issue the refund right away, but since these were sales outside Europe, the timing was very long and Ebay refunded the buyer before I received the package... (I don't think they were fair...). But the problem is another one. I sell products with very little markup and even with their fees I'm barely scraping by; recently they added that if you're below standard they punish you with an additional 6% (shameful). Now, on the 20th I went back to being a "top seller".....but they are still withholding the additional 6%. I called them, they thanked me for being with them for 24 years and I replied that I don't know why I keep staying with them....Anyway, they told me they will remove the additional 6% starting on the first of next month....Is it possible that Ebay hates sellers this much? In Italy this would come close to the crime of "misappropriation"......
