On 5/7/2025 I ordered the cutting board mentioned in the subject, on e-Bay. The purchase screen gave me the option to choose a pickup point, from the 6-7 suggested to me. I chose "Stefano Cianni Tabacchi-FP- Via S. Tommaso D'Aquino, 8 - 00136 Roma". The package was supposed to arrive on 21 /7/2025. Instead, on 18/7/2025 the GLS courier delivered the package to Via della Meloria, 74- 00136 Roma ( my home ). Clearly he found no one, so he took the package back. In the following days I contacted GLS, explaining everything. They replied telling me that they cannot deliver the package to the aforementioned pickup point. So, either they would have taken it back to Via della Meloria, where there is no one who can receive it ( I am outside Rome ), or I would have had to go pick it up in a peripheral area of Rome, at GLS's Tiburtina branch. I pointed out that at 78 years of age, I didn't feel like, under the July sun, walking a fair distance, through traffic, to fix a mistake made by one of them ( either the seller, or e-Bay, or GLS ). The seller asks me: "But is the pickup point you indicated a GLS one?" My answer: "I followed exactly e-Bay's instructions at the time of purchase. It is not my problem to know whether the aforementioned FP is under GLS's jurisdiction or not. Someone along this chain made a mistake, and I should not be the one to fix it, by taking on a rather demanding car trip." But the package remains stuck at GLS's Tiburtina branch. I also gave them another pickup point: Multiservice Pay 360- Via Rialto,38 - 00136 Roma. But no one is answering me on that.What surprises me most is this: they are getting "stuck" on a bureaucratic issue, instead of solving the problem, created by a mistake made by one of them. I, who worked for a lifetime as an Anesthesiologist-Intensivist, if I had created the problems they are creating for me over a package, I would have killed most of the patients. It seems that in this country the rule of common sense is not known. If any of you can help me solve this trivial problem ( it is a matter of taking the package about 700-900 meters away from my home ), I would be grateful. Thank you. Alberto Alegiani Sagnotti
