Insertion fee and commission for motorcycle sale
Summary: The discussion concerns the listing fees and commissions applied to the sale of a motorcycle. However, both Anonymous User and sika700 did not provide any further details in their messages.
I created the draft sales listing for a motorcycle of significant value, but I had a doubt about which fees would be applied. In the section “Fees for the Auto, motorcycle and other vehicles categories” there is a table that shows amounts between 6.00 and 9.00 euros as insertion fees and a fixed commission between 19.00 and 35.00 euros upon sale. Just above, though, in the paragraph “Final value fees“ it says: “The variable Final Value Fee is equal to 5% of the total sale amount up to EUR 2,000 and 2% of the portion of the total sale amount exceeding the EUR 2,000 threshold”. Unsure, I contacted customer service and the operator, after a long pause that I believe was spent looking for the answer to my question, told me that both apply in the sale of motor vehicles and in particular a fee of 5% up to 2,000 euros and 2% on the portion exceeding 2,000. In my case, that would amount to a sales cost of almost 1,700.00 euros, which seems excessive to me: if I take it to a dealer on consignment, they charge me much less. Does anyone have experience with this? Thanks everyone.

Mentore1 year agoYou also find written: "Listing fees and final value fees are different for sellers of vehicles in the Cars, motorcycles and other vehicles categories."
So the correct fees are the ones you indicated first.
In any case, to sell a motorcycle, it might be worth turning to other, more specific marketplaces.
Kind regards.
