Import tariffs from Japan to Italy
First time buying on eBay from Japan. The item, at €35, has free shipping, but at checkout it says that import fees may be added upon delivery. Is it certain that they’ll be added? Is it possible to estimate how much I’ll be charged upon delivery in addition to the €35 already paid? Thanks a lot

Mentore3 weeks agoOn 35 euros there’s only 22% VAT. You should have paid it directly to eBay.
The courier shouldn’t ask you for anything else, but if they do ask you for the VAT a second time, have them issue a detailed receipt and don’t pay it in cash.
