expired eBay fees
Good evening, after selling an item on December 17, since the buyer did not provide any instructions for picking up the item at my home, on the advice of eBay Customer Service — which I contacted for information on what to do — I canceled the transaction, receiving a confirmation email from eBay of the cancellation last Wednesday, January 2.
On Wednesday the 3rd I received an email from eBay with the subject “Reminder: you have overdue eBay fees”, in which I was asked to pay amounts based on selling activity carried out on eBay, but when I checked — as suggested in the email itself — by going to the “Selling Console” section, I found that the charges previously billed to me for commissions on December 23, 2023, had been credited back on January 3.
Can anyone suggest how I should handle this? Thanks and good evening

Mentore2 years agoIf you cancelled on January 2nd and received the invoice on the 3rd, they most likely didn’t have time to update the status. So they’re asking you to pay December’s fees and they’ll issue a refund for them in January.
Where’s the problem?

Mentore2 years agoNo, I had written something else (they ask you to pay the December fees and they will credit them back to you in January).
You have to pay the December invoice and get the money back in January. You can't offset debts and credits.
