I would like to know why there is a difference between the two rates shown in the attached file.

Mentore1 year agoIn the image above you can see that that is the exchange rate processed by Visa, its fees are included.

OP1 year agoI would have liked to know it earlier, so I could have considered them as an additional cost item. Where could I have read that information?

Mentore1 year agoIf you pay in a foreign currency, it’s your card that applies the fees, so you need to check your contract.
If you pay in euros, the exchange rate is already shown on the eBay payment form.

OP1 year agoInstead of finding out only after paying that the exchange rate was (as in the attached image previously), I would have preferred to know before paying that the exchange rate would be... The fact remains that before paying the total in euros was 72, while afterwards it nearly reached 75... In this case the difference is negligible, but when larger sums are involved it could be an unpleasant surprise... I find that it's a somewhat hidden element. So basically, is it a conversion fee?

OP1 year agoReading other chats I found out that I'm not the only one who was left perplexed about this point... Evidently it isn't that intuitive...
Anyway, thanks
