The estimated price when i place a bid is the same in euros and in usd
I am trying to place a bid on an eBay auction. Every time I enter a bid in USD, eBay shows an estimated price in euros before I confirm it, but the euro amount shown is the same as the USD amount.
For example, if I bid $1450, I would expect the euro equivalent to be around €1280 based on an exchange rate of 1 USD equals 0.88 EUR, or 1 EUR equals 1.13 USD. Why does eBay show the euro estimate as €1450 instead?

Mentore1 year agoBecause in addition to the exchange rate there are card or PayPal fees, there could also be VAT (if shipping is provided with advance payment of customs duties and VAT).
