I am trying to place a bid on an eBay auction. Every time I enter a bid in USD, eBay shows an estimated price in euros before I confirm it, but the euro amount shown is the same as the USD amount. For example, if I bid $1450, I would expect the euro equivalent to be around €1280 based on an exchange rate of 1 USD equals 0.88 EUR, or 1 EUR equals 1.13 USD. Why does eBay show the euro estimate as €1450 instead?
