Customer protection for large purchases?
Hello,
I’m turning to the more experienced members:
I’m following an auction for 500g gold ingots, and I’m afraid to go any further for two reasons, given that the customer guarantee sticker is present but:
- If I won the auction and the item turned out to be fake, how would I prove it so I wouldn’t be scammed?
- What advice would you give me besides insisting on insured shipping?
- In general, how would you handle it?

Mentore2 years agoIt’s not the kind of thing I’d buy on ebay. I don’t see any chance of savings on a listed asset. The bigger the price difference from the exchange list price, the greater the risks.
If you really want to take the risk, selling is allowed under strict rules:
