Seller protection
Hello. A buyer bought a VINTAGE tape deck (Musicassette player) from me, but it’s in excellent condition; he paid me 500 + 15.
Having been sitting unused for 20 years, before shipping I tested it and it has a problem. The buyer paid without asking a question, but he hasn’t been replying to messages. Usually people who buy these components are enthusiasts who enjoy doing small repairs themselves (the cost of the damaged parts is 20 eur), so I asked him whether I should cancel, or if he wanted it anyway, and for days he hasn’t replied. I also sent him an SMS to the shipping mobile number but nothing. The listing has a no returns accepted clause but clearly excludes malfunctions. If he doesn’t reply and I ship it, in the worst case ebay then sides with him and I have to pay the shipping costs ? (It weighs 20kg the shipping costs are high...)
