A customer is asking me for a refund for a damaged package, but I don't want to pay the costs myself because
I don’t understand why I have to return an item at my own expense if the carrier damaged the packaging, can you explain how to contact eBay?

Mentore1 year agoAside from the fact - which is by no means unimportant - that you sell new items but on eBay, as a private seller, which is how you describe yourself, you can't do that; under consumer law, the goods travel under the seller's full responsibility. So if you don't quickly provide the buyer with a return label, eBay will refund them at your expense, exempting them from having to return the item. It's all written in the rules; you just need to read them.
