A seller put an Apple Watch up for sale by posting only a catalog photo. In the description, he claims to have the seller's receipt. After a specific request to post photos of the item and the receipt, he responds with the same catalog photo.

Mentore2 years agoSo... I’d avoid it... also because with just the receipt, the 24-month legal warranty is not transferred, and if the seller is a private individual, you’d be buying an item with no warranty.

OP2 years agoThanks a lot, I didn’t know about the warranty transfer. The receipt would however be proof that he bought it and didn’t steal it. But he should post photos of both the item and the receipt for transparency.
In my opinion eBay should take down the listing because if someone only posts catalog photos, it doesn’t necessarily mean the seller, being a private individual, actually has the item they claim to be selling.
