Urgent-Request for refund received iPhone scam
Summary: 199marian sold an iPhone to a Portuguese user with no feedback, but now is facing a claim for a different item. The buyer provided photos of a broken iPhone that does not match the one sold, suggesting a possible scam. 199marian has video documentation of the product and urgently asks for help to avoid the scam, with the only options being to accept the return or offer a refund.
Good morning, I sold an iPhone to a Portuguese user with zero feedback.
First of all, I made all the videos of what was shipped and of the packaging.
The user opened a claim for a different item, as he showed photos of a broken iPhone that is not mine. In fact, from his photos, it is clear that it is not an iPhone 17 Pro and it is also gray, unlike mine which is orange.
The scam is supported by the fact that he only disputes the broken iPhone. It is obvious that he replaced mine with another one.
Among the options I only have accept return or offer refund. I kindly ask for urgent help to avoid being scammed.
Thank you all in advance

Mentore1 month agoIn distance selling, on any platform, if you run into a dishonest buyer, you’re out of luck.
Putting yourself in the shoes of the person who has to judge, the videos you made are useless; you may have filmed the packing of one box and then sent another one. So you can’t prove that the item shown by the buyer is not the one you shipped.
If when the junk comes back, you can prove with the IMEI code that it was the buyer’s phone, you can report them for embezzlement. I doubt, though, that such action would have any effect abroad.
sorry
