Sale of item with local pickup only. Why do I have to pay fees if I’m issuing a refund?
Good evening.
I posted a listing for the sale of a piece of furniture, specifying ONLY local pickup. The buyer paid for the item and insisted on shipping. I explained that the weight and size make disassembly and shipping difficult and expensive. I’m ready to issue a refund, but I don’t understand why, because of their mistake, I should have to pay a 5% commission fee. What do you recommend?

if you refund the buyer, the fees will be refunded to you, except for the fixed selling fee, which is 35 cents.
