Sale of an item
A question for all sellers. I sell an item, i.e. a radio, in excellent condition to a buyer, who pays and eBay holds the payment for about ten days. The buyer receives the radio but, having one that is broken in the same way, asks for a return, sending me his identical broken radio. At this point, eBay issues the refund. In conclusion, the buyer keeps my good radio and also gets a refund for his supposed broken radio, and the seller loses his good radio and ends up with a broken one. How can you protect yourself from this subtle scam?

Mentore2 years agoThere is no protection; any attempt to build evidence would be useless.
The only way to protect yourself is to avoid selling it remotely.
If you run into a skilled and not very honest buyer, what you’re afraid of could happen on any platform. You have to take into account not only the platform’s rules, but also those of the payment methods.
Fortunately, even today, these users are still a small minority, but it can’t be denied that they do exist.
