Sales and tax audits
Good evening, I'm writing to you because I sold several items this year and since January 2026 I have reached net earnings of around 2100 euros....they are all personal tech items; cell phones, household appliances, consoles
Belonging to me or my children ...I'm a private individual .I only have one doubt, that tax checks might come, and if that's the case I won't sell anything here anymore!!!I would like your feedback.thanks

Mentore2 weeks agoIt doesn't depend on eBay.
There's a law (the EU DAC7 directive, implemented in Italy with Legislative Decree 32/23) that requires all platforms to report to the tax agency everyone who exceeds certain activity thresholds.
The thresholds are 30 transactions and 2000 euros in revenue.
If you try selling on another platform, you'll have two reports instead of one.
Then it will be up to the tax agency to decide whether or not to report you to the financial police for any possible assessment.
